  I was advised by an Oakley service rep to take my broken frame to an Oakley dealer. I went to one nearby, the store on Broadway and Willow. The store lady said she could not do anything for me because I did not purchase my prescription Oakley from her store. She would help me if I agree to pay the cost. I was a customer of Iris when I lived in Toronto. I find that Iris is all about how much money they can make from a customer. Iris products and services are substantially higher than its competitors. I now have to think twice about Oakley and Iris.

  I highly laud Iris Optical for including Visual Field Testing and retinal imaging in their exams. This extra equipment greatly increases the likelihood that any developing eye disease will be caught. Dr. Spino was tremendously knowledgeable about my glaucoma and took the extra time to fine-tune the best eyeglass prescription for me. I was not pressured to buy my eyeglasses there. (Several years ago, TWO other Vancouver west-side opticians failed to detect my developing glaucoma - how I wish I had gone to Iris back then!)
