  I first walked by here when I found out my application for a rescue dog is approved, and Kathy and her team at My Fluffy Friend's have been such a great resource! My dog and I just completed the Beginner training class and we learned how to use positive training to learn basic commands, and Kathy is such a patient and knowledgeable instructor. She always has a smile on her face and able to answer my million of questions! The shop is also well curated to have the best products, reasonably priced, and if you have a rescue dog you even get 10% off. I am grateful that my dog and I have such a fantastic pet shop in our community.

  Its been decades since I've brought one of our previous pups to a school. Except for one, home trained all of them but methods have changed greatly and learning new ways was the goal. We've had 8 previous Rottweillers but we decided that since we have downsized to a townhome, a change in breed from a full working dog to an all-around "social" breed was the way to go, therefore our latest is a Goldendoodle picked up May, 2017. For the first time, my wife has taken the lead in handling this pup. In looking for the proper school, My Fluffy's store, being centrally located in the heart of Vancouver before crossing the Burrard bridge, was geographically the closest. Previous positive Yelp reviews were central in my decision to try their puppy school and we registered for the Beginner's Class in August. They were also one of the few that offered a DAYTIME schedule - six reasonably priced Saturday 1 hr. classes (starts at 11am). Kathy is completely knowledgeable with training and her methods are humane plus she devotes personalized attention when any of her students are slow to pick up. Being a small class (max. 5) provides a terrific atmosphere for her to be able to fully control the envirionment. Being the youngest in the class, our 5 month old pup was overly frisky in the first two sessions but soon settled down to the point that when walking her she quickly responds to the "Leave It" command. Meeting new people and other dogs is now an improved calming experience for her. My wife can now control "her" pup. The commands SIT, DOWN, STAND, STAY, LEAVE IT, LET'S GO, HEEL are among those that are now imprinted in her pup's memory. As with any training, constant repetition at home is a necessity. Our friend also joined the classes with their 8 month old French Bulldog and the transformation to a well-behaved pooch likewise occured. Both households are totally pleased with the results. Graduation was a treat as it was pleasurable to view all the students go through the final exercises and get their diplomas. Nothing better than to have your fluffy household companion be behaved and composed with discipline. The store itself is compact but is complete and sells only the top rated healthiest foods (no grains). Prices are reasonable and, so far, the best locally. In addition, all the staff are helpful and courteous. If your goal is to have a home companion that knows the rules and be a pillar of "good behaviour", invest in training and socialization. From our experince, we highly recommend My Fluffy classes to all puppy owners.

  We love my fluffy friend's! We've taken two different courses with Kathy and they have made such a big difference in our dog's behaviour. We've had our dog groomed and take him in for nail trimmings and he always comes out happy! They have a great variety of food and treats including premium kibble, raw, and freeze dried. This is our one-stop place for everything that our dog needs. Great accessory selection as well. Oh, and they have loyalty discounts on top of their always friendly service! I can't say enough good things - highly recommended!
